TD Ameritrade - Long term ETF's?
« on: September 27, 2018, 09:39:26 AM »
Hello,

I'm investing my HSA account at TD Ameritrade. I've heard and invested in their commission free ETF's. My question is, is this okay for a long term investment? Or should I be looking at something else?  My portfolio as of now is as follows:

SPTM 36%
SPDW 33%
SPAB 31%

Is this ok to keep pumping yearly max of HSA funds for long term? I plan on taking the bonds down a bit and up the % of SPTM and SPDW btw.

Looks good. I've got all of mine in SPTM and balance out the rest of my desired asset allocation in other accounts, but what you've done works too.

Looks good to me, especially if you switch more of your bond fund to equity choices. I go full SPTM with my HSA since I don't plan on pulling any out for at least several decades and want to maximize growth.

Great. Thanks so much for the input. I was researching and came across something that made me doubt what I initially thought. Thanks again for clearing it up and putting me at ease!

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
