Is it any surprise there are a couple of little falls after your market has gone up around 50% since the election?

But CNN says we're in a freefall.

Are you saying I shouldn't be jumping off a tall building anytime soon?

I thought you were kidding. CNN makes it sound like doom's day.

Fox News is just as bad.

Maybe those should read MARKET SALE and HISTORIC BUYING OPPORTUNITY.

Except those would be just as silly.  Today's movement isn't big enough to motivate me to sell, if I think it's going down, or to motivate me to buy, if I think it's going back up.  It's just another day of volatility, and it will all come out in the wash down the road.

Stay the course, people.  Invest regularly.  Rebalance periodically.  Minimize fees.  Retire when ready and try to think about more important things.

That market move has motivated me to buy, on payday, just like I do every payday.....

Never mind, nothing has changed.

I was supposed to knock out 75% of my IRA on Thursday, but I was short because I was waiting on a check to clear.  Looks like I'll be placing that order tonight when I get home.

It motivated me to finally get around to buying my Roth IRA for 2017.

Love the consolation here, I expect another 10% down till we see a potential bounce back to new highs. A healthy market correction is way overdue.

Technically, it is an historic plunge though.  This was the 15th worst single day drop in the history of the S&P.  (not sure about the Dow, but I'm sure it ranks)

I just contributed to my IRA.  Nice to see it slightly discounted when I checked today.  :)

So true.   It's a pot hole, maybe a little bigger then usual but stay the course cause you know where your heading!
