I've been reading all your wisdom here for about a year now, and have made some changes to investments accordingly, but I would like some advice with asset allocation... For the next month I can shuffle my 401K allocations, and I am thinking maybe I should.
I have the following invested
401K: ~141K (111K in VFIAX, the other 30K spread out in bonds, int'l, small cap..)
VFIAX is the only vanguard fund and the only good option in my 401k, the fees for everything else are outrageous, and other than the int'l stuff, nothing's done all that well.
Roth IRA: ~21K VTSAX
rollover IRA: ~6K VTSMX
brokerage acct: 41K VTSAX
outside vanguard old account: 4K vfinx, 3K bnd, 4K vxus, 4K vti
Questions
1. Should I just move all the 401K money into VFIAX?
2. What should I do to other accounts to balance out the VFIAX and make the total allocation more like a VTSAX and is this necessary or eve a good idea?
3. should I have more bond funds?
4. Should I have more intl funds?
5. Should I just keep the old outside vanguard account (but with all vanguard funds) as is to not mess with having to pay taxes on it?
