Has anyone used Fundrise to invest in real estate?
« on: July 11, 2018, 06:18:52 PM »
I was looking into some real estate investing and was wondering if anyone had used fundrise (https://fundrise.com/) before? Was the experience good or bad?

Plenty of threads on this throughout the forum. Just do a search.

Why invest in private equity period? Non-traded REITS are riskier and 71% under perform. And real estate stocks and real estate index funds work JUST FINE. Why try to reinvent the wheel?

Some youtube videos are on it too, including one from graham stephens.

He says the investments are solid BUT the fund itself might not be liquid. So bear that in mind.

I put 5k in Fundrise last week, seeing how it will compare to VNQ over the next year, I am hoping for 8% or greater and I will be happy. My concern is on a downturn how these will handle that with little track record.
