No , but from what I can tell from reading on it why wouldn't you just cover your real-estate investing through your indexing funds through Vanguard or Fidelity etc... Am i missing something?

I was looking at this because it seemed to have a better yield than the Vanguard/Fidelity (from what I can tell) but this isn't a space I know a lot about.  I am trying to diversify away from the market that still has a higher return.

I'd say go for it, the site looks legitimate. Just read the terms of use before you register, you need to be quite rich in order to join.

I wouldn't do it.  It isn't publicly traded, it looks like there is very little diversification compared to an individual publicly traded REIT let alone a REIT ETF.  I would be scared of the "fine print" or one of the properties not being as good as it appears.  It's easy to get screwed in this type of thing.  Now this one may be okay but I'm too chicken and don't know what I don't know about it.

You could look at RIET ETF's like ICY, VNQ, FREL.  Or large publicly traded individual REIT's Like O, WPC or BPR.  O is pricey right now however.
