With the price declines in the stock market this month, your asset allocation percentages may no longer be what your investment policy statement says they should be. I just initiated a five-figure transfer from bonds to stocks within our retirement accounts to bring things back into balance. Consider checking your own accounts to see if you need to do the same.

By what percentage was your allocation off?

My foreign stock allocation was at about 90% of where it should have been, and domestic was a hair below 95%. I don't generally even consider taking corrective action until it's off by more than 5%.
