New Job, New Retirement Offerings
« on: May 05, 2025, 02:50:12 PM »
So Im starting at a new gig and they do offer a 401k and a Roth 401k.  The company match goes into the standard 401k.  So I am thinking of putting my contributions into the Roth.  And there are really only 2 viable options for investments...a date adjust retirement fund (like a 2065 fund) or FXAIX.  Im going all in on FXAIX.  Does this sound like a solid plan?  Im 45 BTW.

Without any other information, the standard answer is "use traditional".  Roth could, however, be better for you - why do you think it will be?  See Traditional versus Roth for some background.

See also Investment Order.  Do those suggestions look applicable to you?

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
