I'm in SE Michigan, but with 5 month old twins and a demanding job, not sure when I'll be able to get out for a meet up. I'm in South Lyon, work in Ann Arbor, and used to be from Sterling Heights. What burb are you in?

I live in Bloomfield Twp. I teach math and statistics part time face to face and online so my schedule is very flexible. Ann Arbor is a long way for me depending on the traffic.

I'm also in Oakland County. Any plans for a Mustachian meetup, even if it's a small one?

I work in Ann Arbor and live in South Lyon.

Seems everyone is pretty spread out.  Might need to congregate with others in your county, haha.

No basement here so no flooding for me.  Hopefully you guys didn't get blasted too hard?

I had about 3 inches of water in my basement.  It was coming up the floor drains.  I moved all my shit frantically and then just let it chill until the water table went down.  I'm gonna have to clean it up tonight.  Luckily it was only the storm sewer and no raw sewage came in (at least I don't smell any - I would think it would be painfully obvious if there was any sewage in it).  We had a lot of stuff on shelves and away from the floor drains, so I don't think we are going to lose anything, just a pain in the ass to deal with.

I also own a house in ferndale that my parents live in.  The sewage system backed up and was gushing out of the toilet and tub.  They had 5 inches of standing sewage in the basement all night.  It eventually drained through the floor drains when they cleared up, but yuck.  What a fucking nightmare.  I get to deal with it since it's my house.

Many of my friends and relatives in this area got hammered.  One relative had 4 feet of sewage in their finished basement.

All my rentals were good, but my friend/PM had dozens of calls.  Took the last few weeks to deal with stuff.

I'll be in Detroit first weekend of October (in about a month), would love to hang out with any Mustachians, possibly on Sunday the 5th?

Hi everyone,

I started this topic but no one answered for so long that I stopped checking. It seems like we have quite a few people in Oakland County.

My daughter is graduating from high school so I will be pretty busy until June 7. I'd like to suggest a meet up on Saturday, June 13 at Riverside Park in Auburn Hills. It is right off the Clinton River Trail so you can ride there from quite a few places.

Who is in?

Another Ann Arborite here!

Unfortunately we're busy next weekend, and Auburn Hills is a bit far from here, anyway!  I'm new here... if anyone organizes an A2 based meetup, would love to join up.

Hello Marina

I'm from Ann Arbor too. We could meet at the Cafe Verde, next to the Food Coop if you ever wanted to talk about financial stuff. If there's anyone else from Ann Arbor it would be fun to meet.
