Richmond VA: monthly downtown lunch meetup

Hybrid and I had lunch today on the Capital Grounds and it turns out we worked together in 2010!  Small world.

Anyway, Hybrid has a mustachian friend who will join us for a monthly lunch meetup so that makes 3 of us.  Any other Mustachians out there RVA who want to join us?  Let me know.

Next Mustachian Meetup is set for next Thursday, July 11th at noon in the lobby of the Suntrust Building -- E. Cary Street side where they have a quiet, out of the way, set of chairs with coffee table.

July's lunch meetup was a big success with one Mustache saying she hasn't had a TV in years and would love to get OTA broadcasts and another Mustache saying "I have a spare TV that I want to get rid of, come and get it if you want it."

The August lunch is set for the 7th at noon.  Location TBD.  I'll post again on the 5th.

The Main Branch of the Richmond Library has a park-ish area on Main St. at the intersection of 2nd and Main.  We will be the ones who brought their lunch and/or bikes.  Time is 12:30.

We just scheduled for February -- Weds the 19th at noon in the lobby of Suntrust, 9th Street side.  There are sofas/ chairs in an alcove right next to the stairs that take you up/ down to 9th street.

We are scheduled for this Friday at noon on Brown's Island near the 7th street bridge over the canal!  We would be near the bottom circular set of stairs.  If anyone on the e-mail chain knows how to add pictures, the one where I circled the spot would be helpful . . .

After a too-busy summer, we're back!  The next lunch meetup is Sept. 16, 2014 from noon to 1 PM.  If the weather is fine, we'll meet by the clock tower at the James Center/ Omni Hotel plaza (10th and E. Cary St.).   If it's not fine, then we'll meet in the SunTrust cafeteria (no need to buy anything).

Thanks for the invite -- I'm excited to meet everyone in the group.  I should almost definitely be able to attend for the early part of the cookout.

I actually got to meet Mr. and Mrs. Money Mustache this weekend!!  I went to FinCon (financial bloggers conference) in New Orleans and got to chat with Pete for about five minutes and I sat next to (my edit - Mrs MMM) during an event and spoke with her for a while.

They are incredibly nice people and I told them about the Richmond Mustachian group and they were very happy to hear about it.
