Barclays vs. Ally bank?
«

I'm looking to open a new savings account. Ally is currently 0.85% vs Barclays 1.00%. Any reason to not use Barclays?
TIA!

Barclays has a higher yield, but Ally makes it easy to link accounts if you already use them for checking (or plan to). Went with Barclays for an emergency fund. Nothing unexpected to report.

I wasn't even aware Ally had an interest checking account. Maybe I'll consider that. I've just been using suntrust because that's where we've been "all these years" and they seem fine. But now it seems like a waste of money.
