Mint Bill Pay
« on: September 17, 2014, 07:46:24 AM »
I just noticed that Mint has a new "bill pay" feature.  People often cite the fact that Mint is "read only" when assessing the security risks of using Mint.  Does this do anything to change that?  It looks like the bill pay feature may not be integrated with the rest of one's Mint account (but I can't tell for sure since I haven't used it), so maybe the answer is no.

where do you see a bill pay feature? You can track your bills and set reminders for them, but i don't see anywhere that Mint will actually pay the bills for you...?

On the landing page (before you log in), there's a banner across the top that says "New!  Mint Bill Pay. Pay all your bills from one place and avoid late fees."  You can click on it to access the Mint Bill Pay site, but I don't see any way to access it from within your regular Mint account once you are logged in, which is why I said it seems like it may not be integrated with your Mint account (and therefore maybe poses no additional security risks?).

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
