I don't know why I was looking through a bed bath and beyond catalog, but I saw this:

It's giant box you put your shirt or pants in (one at a time please) and removes light wrinkles and basically febreezes it.

The advertisement states:
"Cut dry cleaning costs" -- save time money and effort when you use the swash system.

$499.99 and 12 pods for $6.99.

So I think it's for in between washes and ironing.

Maybe I'm obtuse, but it seems they reinvented the wheel.  Dryel came out with the "do dry cleaning in your own home" solution years ago for a fraction of the cost.

Dryel also utilizes your existing dryer as a means of activation, versus a standalone unit.

So these people just basically invented a solution to a problem that was already solved years ago, but at roughly 40x the initial cost and 5x-17x the per use cost AND requires the presence of an obnoxiously large device inside your home.

And technically you can also buy a steamer for $20 and steam your dry-clean clothes (like they do in retail clothing stores) for the cost of brita-filtered water and some electricity.

It doesn't even clean it or remove stains!  Do people actually take their cloths to the dry cleaners simply because they are wrinkled?

We were having a few drinks with a friend earlier this week, and a bed bath and beyond catalog was on the table.  We had about a 30 minute discussion of the swash including watching some ridiculous promotional videos of how to use the swash system.
