I read this yesterday - authors David Bogan and Keith Davies.
It is an interesting book, and of use to mustashians. The title is not quite right, as many of the examples in the book are people who retire from a mustashian point of view - part time, volunteering, or doing something different in retirement. Everyone is busy doing their own thing.
The authors also emphasize that you should do the things you dream of as soon as possible - sometimes people decide it is not for them, and go back to what they were doing, but most of the time it works out. It is an easy read for someone who isn't sure that the "lie back and watch the daisies grow" form of retirement is for them.
On page 159 they have a set of key points (every chapter has key points):
- Plan to be debt free and stop buying unnecessary stuff
- Make and nuture good relationships
- Keep up your personal maintenance
- Challenge yourself constantly
- Plan ahead intelligently - look for an occupation without a use by date
- Keep your sense of humour at all costs
