Book recommendations for my newly retired father?
« on: May 19, 2014, 10:18:48 AM »
My dad is currently reading a book on retirement savings - unfortunately I didn't catch the authors name, but some of the ideas my father told me about made me a little nervous (a paid off house is money under the mattress, better to pull some out and invest it). I know very little about financial planning when you are just starting a traditional retirement (age 64), but at the very least I want to push him in the direction of mustachian-approved books.

Any suggestions?

If the title doesn't turn him off, I enjoyed Jeff Yeager's "How to Retire the Cheapskate Way".

That looks more like its about the spending side of the equation.....I think I'm looking more for a Mustachian-approved book on withdrawals and investment strategies during retirement.

Any other suggestions?
