Title: $150k/year is "just not enough"
Post by: AlmostIndependent on July 27, 2013, 03:12:42 PM
My boss (who makes $150-160k/yr) was complaining about how underpaid we are and how his paycheck is "just not enough." I could not contain my guffaw. I told him I thought that was ridiculous.

If he's your boss and he agrees everyone's underpaid, ask for a raise?

Dumbass is an understatement.

It's a government gig so pay raises have nothing to do with the performance of actual work. It's more a matter of showing up, doing your job and not fucking up too bad.

Anyone who can't thrive on $150,000 a year is an financial ignoramus.

That's not the only area in which he is an ignoramus. It's not surprising it's par for the course with him.
