One of my goals this year is to read all of his books.  I've read Gates of Fire roughly 20 times.  I just started The Afghan Campaign last night.  Any other fans?

I am also a fan of Steven Pressfield. The novel that he wrote on the Peloponessian war was also very good. It featured Alcabiades and many other historical figures. Gates of Fire is one of a select few novels I have kept over the years because I know that I will read it again.

What are you prepared to stand and die for?
