Title: Referral exchange thread?
Post by: Khao on November 19, 2012, 08:42:16 PM
I searched the forum and couldn't find an existing thread. I don't know if there are any rules against it on the forum, if so I'll take the thread down.

So here are the rules : Post your referral and all the info with it, make it clear and easy to read.

I'll start :

Ing Direct Canada
Code : 35290447S1
Bonus : 50$ when you deposit 100$, good until December 31st. After that date, it goes down to 25$ bonus.

I like this idea, not sure if anyone will use it though. Here is mine.

Ting
https://zbr4qgelj.ting.com/
You get $25 off your phone, I get a $25 credit on my bill.

If you have any questions about ting send me a PM, happy to answer them. My wife, mother, and I have been very satisfied.

ooh, fun!

if you are buying anything through amazon, you can do so through the widget on my blog, and i'll get a small commission:

http://www.belesscrazy.com/

also, if you have a website with any traffic at all, you should add the widget to your site and sign up for an affiliate account! most months i make $10-20 for doing absolutely nothing.

that sounded like a good idea so I was going to add it to my blog and found out CO isn't allowed :(

If anyone decides to sign up for the American Express Blue Cash Preferred, I'd be glad to refer you and split the $75 bonus.  There's no link, you'll need to send me a PM with your email address, as that's how the AmEx referral system works.  If you have any questions, PM me, thanks!

Before MMM, I probably would never have even opened this mail, but it was about lower electricity rates.
Since I just discovered the extent of my super un-mustachian electrical ways, and am rectifying them, I was intrigued.

Looks like due to some new laws in my state, one can choose to change their electricity supplier. I have ComEd, who will still maintain and bill me, but I can choose Constellation to be the supplier. They are offering to lock me in to a rate of 6.25 cents per kwh.

I looked up my charges over the last two years. For a few months in the summer, it is 6.7 c/kwh, and the rest of the year closer to 8. My last bill was 8.1. Plus they are offering a 25$ visa cash card for joining (and staying a few months)

and have a referral program.
My link is https://home.constellation.com/?by=0BKVC
and I do get another 25$ credit for successful new customers.

Ting - Get $25 off when you start an account (including BYOD). Use https://z3hk954t6.ting.com/

Lending Club - get $100 when you deposit $2500. http://www.lendingclub.com/landing/invest.action?reg_referrer=Member_1690630&progId=2001

StableHost - Need webhosting? Check these guys out. I've been very happy with their service. I'm on one of the small plans and they've got me on a 24 core server which is currently only at 18% RAM usage! Get 50% off using coupon code MMM at www.stablehost.com
*PS. You'd probably want to sign up for a year since the 50% is not a recurring discount.

Bluehost - This is the service MMM uses for this blog. Message me for a referral link, sign up, and I'll send you $20 bucks (enough to pay your first four months).

Canadians can earn cash back from online shopping (at sites like indigo, priceline, expedia, walmart.ca, and many others) through Great Canadian Rebates:
https://www.greatcanadianrebates.ca/Register/119166/

They also have some nice rebates if you like to churn credit cards.  I just applied for the Amex Gold rewards card for a $50 rebate + 15000 bonus points (convertible to 15000 aeroplan points).  You can also get $60 from applying for the MBNA SmartCash Mastercard, which also gives you 5% cash back on grocery/gas purchases for 6 months.

(I get referral rebates if you sign up through that link.)

I think I'll sign up tonight after work on that website! I don't know if I'll ever need it but it might be handy some day. What sucks thought is that I got an MBNA SmartCash card like two months ago so I can't get the $60 cashback. :(
Title: Re: Referral exchange thread?
Post by: jd on January 31, 2013, 11:02:35 AM
Well, you can always sign up for another SmartCash card.  :)
But maybe wait until the 6 months of 5% cash back on groceries/gas is up on your current card.

Discover "it" card!

1% back on everything, 5% on rotating categories. They also have a gateway to online retailers for higher amounts of cashback (varies depending on said retailer). 14 months 0% APR, no annual fee. We both get $50 a signup bonus. So far I've been mostly impressed with their customer service, their reps are sharp, no bullshit, upsell or cheesy precanned lines.

PM me if interested!

Think paying for grocery deliveries is anti-Mustachian? There are potential savings, so it can mostly pay for itself in time, money, and aggravation.

Here's a nice deal for Canadians:  American Express is offering 30,000 Aeroplan points when you sign up for an American Express Aeroplan Plus Gold Card and charge $500 in the first 3 months.  The $120 annual fee is waived for the first year.

Please send me a PM to get a referral--the regular offer is for 20k points, but if you are referred, we each get a 10k point bonus.

Capital One (formerly ING Direct) is having their Black Friday Sale again.  So for the next 96 hours or so...

Your friends can also earn bonuses if they meet the requirements. And if they open their accounts between November 29th and December 2nd they'll even earn sweet sale bonuses ($75 for 360 Savings when they open with at least $500 and $125 for 360 Checking).   So I get $20 if one joins, but apparently they bump it up for me if 2 of you join.  So really, if you were thinking of opening an account anyway, now is the time to do it and get yourself an extra $75-125!!

I haven't seen this one discussed on these forums yet...

I use Swagbucks as a search engine and occasionally get awarded "swagbucks" for searches. 450 points=$5 Amazon gift card (there are other prizes, but this seems to be the best value). Not bad for just doing regular searching! I use the gift cards pretty much exclusively towards ebooks to read while traveling.

My referral link: swagbucks.com/refer/wanderingbudget  (http://swagbucks.com/refer/wanderingbudget) It looks like I get up to 1,000 swagbucks (roughly $10 value) depending on how much you use it. The referral page is terrible- I'm not sure if the new user gets anything?

Re:  VITACOST.com vitamin site referral.  $10 each to referrer and referee.

I just used wealthviahealth's referral link from 3-9-14 and received a $10 credit on my first order.

It's for your first order of $30 or more.  They have free shipping on $25 of the Vitacost brand items, or free shipping on $49 for all items.  If someone could use my link, I would appreciate it.

Title: Swagbucks earn money for searching, watching videos, and other fun stuff.
Post by: abacus111 on December 25, 2014, 11:04:50 PM
I use Swagbucks as a search engine and occasionally get awarded "swagbucks" for searches also you can watch video's on your phone for points. 450 points=$5 Amazon gift card (there are other prizes, but this seems to be the best value). Not bad for just doing regular searching! I usually get about $75 a month either as gift cards or directly into my Paypal.

For those of you doing the travel hacking and/or credit card churning, lots of people keep track of things using AwardWallet.  I have this referral link for you to use:  http://AwardWallet.com/?refCode=zfodgqosfh

I've never referred anyone before, but on the webpage it has something about free upgrade coupons for first time users, so if that is you and you join, let me know and I will get you that coupon!

IF anyone is interested, Square Cash has a referral promotion right now where I would get $5 for referring you, and you get $5 after you link your Debit card with Square Cash. No purchases necessary.

for those who don't know Square Cash is like Paypal or Venmo, a simple way to send or request money from friends.

PM me with your phone number for a referral! I should mention you need a smartphone for this to work.

Long time lurker and first time poster.

This doesn't get me anything, but I figured this would be a good place to post.

If you're a Bank of America debit or credit card holder, you can get a $10 free Visa Prepaid card just for enrolling your card into Visa checkout. Link here: http://promo.bankofamerica.com/visa-checkout/

Expired Jan 8th. I registered my card and received the $10 card in two weeks. Pretty good for 3 minutes work!

Title: Mr. Rebates and Chase Sapphire Referral
Post by: mrfox on January 02, 2015, 11:30:36 AM
I haven't seen anyone post a link to Mr. Rebates yet. It's a cash back site that works just like Ebates - you click through to anyplace you would usually shop, and get a percentage of your purchase back as a rebate. As your referrer, I would get back 20% of your earned rebates. They recently added Ebay - which is great for those of us who like to buy clothes there!
http://www.mrrebates.com?refid=778483

I also have a limited number of referrals for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card. It gets you 45k points (40k for signup bonus and 5k for adding an authorised user) when you spend 4k in three months. That 45k points can be redeemed for $450 or over $550 in travel if redeemed through their portal. As a referrer, I get 5K points. They can also be transferred to multiple airline and hotel loyalty programs. PM me if you would like a referral, as these have to be sent via email. There is no fee for the first year and $95 every year after.

I would appreciate it if you would use my swaybacks link: Swagbucks Referral Link (http://forum.mrmoneymustache.com/www.swagbucks.com/refer/Sobakaforte)

Swagbucks is a search engine that you use to earn swagbucks. These are points that you can then redeem for gift cards, etc. My favorite choice is 450 sawbucks will snag you 5$ gift card for Amazon, which is a pretty solid deal. You can also click through their shopping portal to earn swaybacks on all sorts of standard purchases you would make anyway.

If you have any more questions about how this works, shoot me a PM. I've been using Swagbucks for years now and they're very reliable!

Cricket has a great plan for $35/mo ($40/mo if you don't put a card on file for autopay) with unlimited talk and texts and 1GB high speed data. They also have the $25/mo plan if you don't need data, or plans with more.

Skeptical.  I used swagbucks for a week, made roughly $4 but got banned before I tried to cash out for $5 Amazon GC.  I used VMware Virtualization (is prohibited) to allow me to install toolbars and other junk to allow compartmentalizing it away from my primary pc.  I saw playing games quickly twice was required to get 2 points and you needed over 400 pts for a $5 GC.  Surveys seamed to be the best but you had to answer carefully and consistently or they would ban you.

I would recommend using two different web browsers like google chrome/firefox for two different bing reward accounts to two different emails.  Bing allows up to 5 accounts at the same IP address.

I average about $5/month but I don't play an hour a day.  I spend maybe 5-10 minutes during the week.  So I guess 12 time $5 is $60 and 6 time $5 is $30 so maybe.

Skeptical.

I'll vouch. I'm averaging about the same without much ongoing effort, but there is a initial learning curve.

You can do about $1.20/day pretty passively (play videos on your phone via Swagbucks mobile apps. More on that here (http://www.reddit.com/r/SwagBucks/comments/229bf6/detailed_guide_about_swagbuckscom_for_the_newbies/)), and if you do it every day, you'll get a $6 bonus for the month. That's $42/month. You can easily double that if you take surveys and do more active tasks.

I can't justify the effort in terms of hourly wage, but I'm inexplicably delighted the $1.50/day I "earn."

My blog at gajasworld.blogspot.com has a lot of different links to stock photo sites where you can sell your photos. There are also overviews over where I've made the most money, and which sites I prefernot using. A bit old data. but the links are live, and the sale pattern holds true. If you struggle with the language, or google translate messes up, I'd be happy to answer questions. It is a fun hobby.

I've been using Swagbucks for about a week and a half now and I'm up to about $20. Not bad for just dinking around while I'm watching TV. I usually just to the easy stuff that takes a second or two and then I just let the videos run on my laptop while I watch what I want on TV. I thought there was a Canadian travel hacking thread somewhere but I can't find it- this could fit here too though.

I belong to a Canadian mystery shopping company who does mystery shops for a number of Canadian (and some American) airlines, hotels, bus and train lines. They offer a discount in return for a mystery shop. Flights (often international), for instance, say they're offered at 50% off the posted rate.

I haven't done it as we usually fly with points, so I can't vouch for the system. They've been doing this for the past 5+ years I've been with them though so the travel companies must be pleased with the arrangement.

Due to confidentiality I can't name them here, but I can offer a referral to anyone who's interested. In return it looks like I get some sort of vague offer of points with no value attached if you complete 3 shops.

I'm going to recommend the Ibotta app.  It's a coupon app that I have found to get me the most usable coupons.  They even have rotating coupons/rebates for general items, like fresh fruit or veggies, milk, cheese - not necessarily brand specific- as well as brand name items as well.  I've found the most bang for my buck with diapers and stuff since these coupons can be combined with manufactures coupons.

the sign up bonus going on right now, if you sign up and redeem a rebate within 30 days you get a $10 bonus and I get $5.
My referral link is: https://ibotta.com/r/qspdhas.  If you download the app directly the referral code is qspdhas.

Haven't seen this deal on TopCashback before but referral sign-up gets me $15 and the person signing up $10. It was only $10 a couple weeks ago for the person making the referral. Good deal for both. I like that they give cash back for gift cards. I just made a recent Lowes flooring purchase and between cash back and coupons, saved roughly $100 on a $600 order. Anywho here is a referral if anyone wants $10.

If you're thinking of using Airbnb (either for traveling or for hosting) I would highly recommend it. We've used Airbnb all over the world and in addition to finding reasonably-priced accommodation, my favorite thing is you get to stay with a local person and thus have access to all kinds of good info. Sometimes (rarely) it's just a straight transaction, most of the time the host is a fellow traveler or at least interested in meeting other travelers.

If you use my link to sign up you'll earn $25 credit and I'll earn $25 credit ($75 if you host). Happy travels!

Stitch Fix probably isn't very Mustachian, but if you use my referral link and order a box that will arrive by July 28, 2016, you and I each get a $25 credit.  Normally, only I would get a credit if someone uses my referral link, so this is a nice deal if you've been thinking of trying Stitch Fix.  I think you will need to pay the $20 styling fee to order your box, then once it ships, you get the $25 credit in your account which you could then use toward your purchase.

Plastiq.com - basically lets you pay anyone with a credit card, for a small fee. I have used them to fulfill spend requirements for credit card signup bonuses by putting my mortgage payment on there. 592445 is my referral code. Using the code lets you send $400 with no fee.

Discover IT: $50 bonus on your first purchase, and all your cash back doubled at the end of the first year (making this a $100 signup bonus) - this is really impressive when you max out the 5% bonus categories, as they are effectively 10%. Referred my wife, and we're about to get a $1k Costco cash card off their website for an easy $100. We'll spend that at Costco anyway.  https://refer.discover.com/s/37e3u

Three other CC referrals in the footer :)

Turo - it's like Airbnb for cars...I've driven a 2015 Corvette Z06, 2013 Nissan 370Z, 2013 BMW M3 coupe and 2015 Chevrolet SS, most of which a normal rental agency won't even have in stock. In other words, it's great for gear heads like me haha. But, they have good prices on more typical rental cars as well. $25 for both of us when you make your first rental after using my link: https://turo.com/c/matthewm1046

Optionshouse discount brokerage - now through June 30, 2017 (sorry for short notice), Optionshouse is offering 100 commission free trades (value of about $500) after you open an account with at least $5,000. I've used Optionshouse since 2011, they have a great platform not only for long and short stock options, but also have some of the cheapest stock commissions around at $5 flat fee. I typically like to write puts myself and they make that very easy to do, especially on the mobile app. They were recently bought by Etrade so I'm not sure if this referral will continue after June 30th. Get me your email address if interested!

RobinHood - You can buy and sell stocks with zero commission. Downside is it's only through an app on your phone.

Use my referral link and we'll both receive a free share of stock. I used someone else's and received ZYNG (Zynga) at $3.62/share but there's a small chance of getting something worth over $100.

I'm hoping that last post (SW Airlines referral) gets deleted by the Moderation team shortly.

It's rude to make an account here for the sole purpose of trying to get referral bonuses.

And you gave bad advice, to boot.

If someone is going to get a SW credit card, they should try to get 2, with enough bonus points (110,000) to get Companion Pass for most of 2018 and all of 2019 by hitting the minimum spend in January (NOTE: Stay below 90% of min spend on both cards until January. There are reports of Chase issuing the bonus early to people just below the minimum spend)

I'm a bit late posting this, but the Amex Cobalt (Canada) is offering 10x on grocery/restaurant spending in December. If you apply over the weekend you should still have time to avail yourself.

These points go 2:1 to SPG, or are 1c each for travel. Normal is still good - 5x on grocery/restaurant. The card is a new idea, you pay a monthly rather than yearly fee, but for the first year you can get 40k points in lieu of a normal sign up bonus (2500 a month when you spend > $500, and an extra 10000 if you spend > $3k in the first three months... combine that with $2000 at 10x in December), it's pretty good.

Referral link in my sig.

The usual high end stuff people don't use.   Reimbursement for purchase in first 3 months if stolen, broken.   Reimbursement if vendor refuses return. Price guarantee, warranty extension,  car rental insurance coverage.    Good service quashing wrong charges by vendors.
They have a good email and/or text notification system for all charges made over a configurable dollar limit.   It helped me prevent being charged for gas when I returned a rental to Alamo with the tank topped of 10 minutes earlier.

People in Quebec or Ottawa: Videotron is starting a budget brand phone company called Fizz, with stupid cheap rates during the 'beta' phase. As in, $5 for 2Gb and unlimited calling and texting, or $8-9 for 8Gb including US roaming.

Plus if you use a referral code you get $25 in credit.

The beta is for 3 months, and who knows what prices will be after that ('still very competitive!'... hmm), but even if you're on an average plan you'll save $150 by beta testing.

SIM cards cost a dollar but come by courier (I ordered mine on Sunday, arrived today...).

Fizz.ca is the site, YUKQW is my referral code.

Also, does anyone have a Chase Southwest credit card referral link that is more than the 40,000 I see on many referral links? The current public offer is up to 60,000 bonus points but I would prefer to use a Mustachian's referral link.

If you don't live in the National Capital Region or Quebec, it won't work - they'll disconnect you after you spend too long (months) regularly using the service outside their area. If you live in the NCR, they'll send a SIM to you so no worries (I'm a stone's throw outside but still a "K" postcode, so it works for me... apparently!).

I think all the referrals are just 40k, unfortunately. This could be one of those cases where the public link is better.

At 1/24 now and DH just applied for the Southwest business through a public link - it's under review so hoping it gets through in the next few days. Considering calling business recon today but hoping to avoid it. Debating back and forth whether it's a good idea to apply for the Southwest personal today or wait a few days. Also would like to apply for Sapphire Reserve in December so trying to figure out timing.

Even worse with Fizz, they really are in beta. I ordered two SIMs - one for me, one for my wife... and mine's been fine (but bear in mind I don't really use it), so I ported her number.... and it's been shit. Outgoing texts and calls fine but no incoming, then fixed, then broken again. Voicemail access broken - PIN reset but not working.

I just ported her out to Public Mobile which, thankfully, I had a SIM for lying around... Holy crap, it is supposed to be 3g data but I just got 40Mbps down! Just waiting for texts to start working...

Mint Mobile

Good service that rides on the T-Mobile network. They have a pretty good prepaid deal right now for three months of unlimited talk/text + 8GB data for $20. That's $20 for the whole three months. After that you get the plan at $20/month if you prepay a year in advance.

When you sign up we each get $15 credited to our account and good toward our next prepay.

AmEx has raised the bonuses for their Delta branded cards back to their highest levels! Here are the details for each card:

Platinum Delta SkyMiles:

Earn 75,000 Bonus Miles and 5,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles (MQMs) after you make $3,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months. You can also earn a $100 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months. This card has a $195 fee that is not waived, but the statement credit and annual companion certificate for Main Cabin more than make up for this fee. You also get your first checked bag free.

Gold Delta SkyMiles:

Earn 60,000 bonus miles after you spend $2,000 in purchases on your new Card within your first 3 months and a $50 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months. This card has a $95 annual fee, but that is waived for the first year. You also get a free checked bag with every flight.

Blue Delta SkyMiles:

Earn 10,000 bonus miles after spending $500 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months of Card Membership. This card has no fee, but you also don't get the free checked bag.

Delta Reserve:

Earn 75,000 Bonus Miles and 5,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles (MQMs) after you spend $5,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months. This card has a hefty $450 fee that is not waived, but does have some decent benefits that may make it worthwhile. First, you get complimentary Sky Club access for you and you can bring up to two guests at a discounted rate. You also get the first checked bag free and priority boarding. But the biggest benefit that might make this card worth the fee is the annual companion pass which can be used in any class of cabin - even First!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can access all of these cards via the link below. Full disclosure, this is a referral and I will receive a bonus if you use this link. The general public offer expires on 4/3/19, but the referral offers are good through 5/1/19 in case you miss out. This would give you time to apply for two of the cards and earn even more miles - just be sure you don't apply for two within 5 days of each other. The maximum that AmEx allows is two cards within a 90 day period. As this is the highest offer they have for Delta, and they limit the bonus to once per lifetime, now is a great time to get one or two of these cards.

My family has benefited greatly from signing up for these bonus offers. We love St. Croix in the USVI and have since traveled there 4 times on the miles we've earned over the years (DW and I have both signed up for 4 cards each including business cards). I still hang onto the Platinum card for the companion certificate and the free checked bags, well worth it in my opinion. Post up if you have any questions about any of these cards or need some help learning how to meet minimum spend. Happy churning!

Oh, one more: Amex Hilton.

It's a fee free card with ~1.5% effectively back. 90k points on spending $2k in 3 months, worth roughly $450 in hotel stays. Most interestingly for me is that while being fee free it is also zero forex charge.

I get 20k points if you use my link:

KickFurther

This is an investment platform where you invest in the inventory of a small business - typically eCommerce. So if a company needs to make a production run that will cost them $50,000, they won't actually get that inventory for a couple of months and then it will usually take a few more months to sell through it and earn that money back. This platform allows them to crowdsource funding at much lower rates than are typically offered (say 5% per month) for companies that don't have enough history or aren't large enough to qualify for bank financing.

Returns are usually around 6-10% and your money will be tied up for typically 6-9 months. If the inventory doesn't sell for whatever reason, you have the option of taking it back and selling it/keeping it yourself. This is quite rare, in the last two years out of a couple hundred companies only 1% haven't paid out. The model is that you are actually taking a consignment of a certain amount of product. So if they buy widgets from the factory for $10, and sell them for $30, you are basically buying that inventory and getting paid $12 when it actually sells.

If you use my referral link we each get $10 in credit to use on the platform. There is a 1.5% fee when you withdraw your money.

If you are looking for a new low cost cellphone plan, we have been VERY happy with Public Mobile. I haven't compared the prices for the plans with more data, but for our needs (unlimited talk/text & some data), we really like their $25/month plan which gives unlimited Canada-wide talk/text and 1 GB of data. It is on the Telus network and generally has great reception.

If your needs are even more minimal, their $15/mo plan is really good too - 100min talk, unlimited text and 250 MB of data. My mother is on this plan and it works well since she is mostly on wifi but wanted some data for Google maps and the like.

Right now there is a promotion: if you sign up for a $25+ plan between Sept 23-30, 2019, you will get a one time $20 credit instead of the usual $10 (referrer gets a $10 credit).

My referral link is: https://activate.publicmobile.ca/?raf=VP6J8Z or my referral code is VP6J8Z

Title: $50 or $100 free; which do you want?
Post by: Will on October 06, 2019, 08:47:25 PM
I have links in my profile for SoFi, where you can get $50 free if you open a Money account with $100.  I'd get $50 too.  There are no minimums or fees.  You can even close it a few days after they give you your $50.  It pays 1.8% APY, has a debit card with other location's ATM fees reimbursed, free BillPay, direct deposit; all the good stuff!  FDIC insured too.

There is also a link for SoFi Invest.  Same deal: put in $100 and they will give you $50 to invest.  They have a lot of ETFs to choose from (a handful of Vanguard ETFs too), and you can do the "bit" investing so you won't have to worry about buying full shares.  I'm not sure if I get $50 if you do or not.  Just make sure you sign up for "active" investing instead of "automatic" to get the free money.  Again, no minimums or crazy fees (just whatever the management fees are for whatever ETFs you buy, or none if you buy stocks I guess).

So do one of them and get $50, or do both and get $100.

Save up to 25c/gallon on fuel. The app works by offering gas stations incremental revenue, since stations are a commodity, and they want customers visiting their station instead of the one on the street in hopes you'll go in and buy something. Be Mustachian: use this app to save on fuel and then don't buy overpriced junk food and soda! You get an additional 15c/gallon off fuel by using my referral code.

You Get:

Hi all!

SoFi has a great bonus for opening a money management account. Earn $150 with minimal effort (5-10 minutes).

Offer: Sofi money management account bonus:

Analysis: You can earn $150 if you have a significant other.

Summary: You'll earn a $50 bonus just for creating a Sofi cash management account with a deposit of $100 or more. Then you get a referral bonus of $50 for each friend you refer.

For example, if you have a significant other, it's an easy $150.

Step 1: You sign up for a Sofi account, deposit at least $100 by linking a bank account, and your $50 account opening bonus will show up in a few days.

Step 2: You download the Sofi app, install it, and get your personal referral link.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/sofi-mobile-finance-money/id1191985736 (download SoFi for Apple)

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sofi.mobile&hl=en_US (download SoFi for Android)

To find your link, in the SoFi app, click on the banner saying "refer SoFi Money", or look for the option in the "my account" section that says "invite friends" and then "refer SoFi Money".

Step 3: Your significant other signs up through your referral link: you get a $50 referral bonus; they get the $50 account opening bonus. These bonuses will probably show up in 2-3 business days.

Boom. Your family just made 150 bucks!

Feel free to use my referral link to get started with my many thanks: https://www.sofi.com/share/money/2733014/

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

If anyone's thinking about signing up with Interactive Brokers, let me know. Why would you? Because they are really good and really inexpensive. They have really good margin rates, really good forex rates (basically spot rate plus a tiny commission, like $2), and cheap trades (1c/share for US stuff).

They are available in many many countries too, and give access to a LOT of exchanges. The only downside is there is an account fee IF you are under a certain amount invested.

I'm a very happy customer, and have transferred from Canada to the UK with them with no issues.

Get $200 bonus from Capital One SavorOne after a $500 spend!

I'm not an expert but I believe this is one of the lowest-hanging fruits in the CC bonus world.

https://capital.one/3jjo5l1

I get $150, you get $200.

And the rewards are decent, especially for the Mustachian whose greatest spend tends toward the foodal area.

"They can enjoy 3% cash back on dining, entertainment, popular streaming and at grocery stores as much as you do, plus a $200 cash bonus once they spend $500 within 3 months of account opening—all with $0 annual fee."

UPDATE: I started using this card at the beginning of last month and my own initial sign-up bonus just posted. Well that was fast ... !

Also, I note that this card posts a certain merchant that also carries non-grocery goods AS grocery, earning 3%. My AMEXes that tout 3% on groceries do NOT count this merchant as grocery and only give 1% on it. It pays to check the details.

The Amex Gold card has a 75,000 points bonus going on right now for referrals, and you only need to spend $4,000 in the first 6 months to get the bonus. And you can choose between the personal and business card. Most sites like the points guy application you only get 60,000 points (I just checked). The best perk about this card IMO is getting 4x points at grocery stores and restaurants/takeout/delivery. It's my go to card for all of those things and the intro offer is worth $1,500 according to TPG.

Also, another great perk I use monthly is a free $10 for Uber Eats and a free $10 a month for Grubhub/Seamless. I do the pickup option so I don't pay delivery fees or tips and it covers a meal for 1 from many places. Pays for itself from that alone.

http://refer.amex.us/DAVIdBS9ki?XLINK=MYCP (http://refer.amex.us/DAVIdBS9ki?XLINK=MYCP)

I get 4 extra points per purchase for 3 months.

Offer ends 12/1/2021.

Can someone here please send me a good referral code for a reliable MVNO, preferably that works well with Verizon?  Thanks!

My husband and I have been using Republic Wireless and have been happy with the service. We can't speak to how well it works for Verizon, though. Hope this helps you out! Join using my link and get $30 off your first bill: https://republicwi.re/2L2lKMj

Here's my Southwest referral link. Thanks :) I have been debating whether it is worth hanging on to my SW Priority and keep paying that $149 annual fee. It's totally worth it when I am travelling frequently. But not so much right now when we mostly stay home due to the pandemic. For now, paying the extra money just to hang on to the card since it is not always easy for us to get more Chase cards.

Limited-time offer with any Southwest Rapid Rewards personal Credit Card. Earn up to 100,000 bonus points with any Southwest Rapid Rewards personal Credit Card. Business owners can earn up to 80,000 bonus points with Southwest Rapid Rewards business Credit Cards. I can be rewarded too, learn more.

BTW if anyone is looking to work towards a SW Companion Pass, here's my cautionary tale from my big CC hacking fail back in 2019:

Quote
Travel Hacking fail today And this is a doozy!!

Back in December, I was all excited about finally being at 1/24 which means DH was finally able to apply for Chase cards again.  Naturally my first thought was to earn the Southwest Companion Pass again (have to earn 110k points in a calendar year)

So my DH dutifully applied for the Southwest Priority Visa (40k pts for $1k spend plus 20k pts for $12k spend) and the Southwest Business Visa (60k pts fo $4k spend). Problem was, I am not used to the graduated points of the Priority Visa and had my mind fixated on meeting the $12k spend in January. I think I thought the first 40k was for a $2-3k spend, not a measly $1k. So I tell DH to spend as much as possible on both cards.

January rolls around and I finish off the $12k spend as planned. Then I take care of the $4k spend. Today I log in to Southwest to take a look as I have been waiting to book flights for our mid March cruise and was surprised to see a 41k point balance. To my horror, I discovered 40k pts posted on Dec 28 2018!!! That means we will only get bonuses totaling 80k points in 2019 - NOT enough for the Companion Pass!!

DH and I spent the next hour freaking out that we were now 30k pts short of the 110k pts we need to earn in a single calendar year to get the Southwest Companion Pass.

Finally, he convinced me to take a nap. When I woke up, it occurred to me that our high spend has generated points too. My guess is we will earn about $94-95k points in 2019. So we will only be short about $15k points. I don't want to spend money on getting points (started thinking of balance transfers with a 5% fee) so I think we will just let our regular spend over the next 4-5 months take care of the points we need.

I don't plan to fly again until at least late summer/fall or possibly not until Dec 2019 so no big deal if it takes longer to get the Companion Pass. A bummer of course, but we can roll with it.

For our mid-March flight, we considered ponying up some cash to boost our SW points earning but ended up deciding to use our AA points for the flight to Miami and our SW points for dirt cheap flights home. (My mixup means I don't get to fly for free for our March trip - thankfully worked out to be only about a $200 or so mistake)

Then I hit yet another snafu (did I mention u gotta be flexible when travel hacking?!). I have AA points that will expire soon. So to generate account activity,  I figured I would book my flight with my miles and DH would use his miles to book for the 4 of them. I booked their 4 flights first at a decent MileSAAver rate of 12500 miles each for a one way flight. But then when I logged into my account, all the cheap award seats disappeared leaving only 25k mile seats available! Of course, I only have 16k miles

Now I am hoping that over the next few days, 12.5k seats show up or I might have to bite the bullet and pay $214 for my ticket. On the good side, many flight prices for March have just dropped in price this week - right on schedule.

Thanks for the link!  I'm planning a $2000 purchase, so I might as well get something for it!  Southwest miles don't expire, so it seemed like a good deal for me.  I'm getting the card with the $65 annual, and am unlikely to keep it past a year.  We'll see.

The best part with Southwest miles is if you use it to book flights, you can cancel / switch to a lower fare at any time for $0 fees and the points get immediately refunded to your account and don't expire. Wayyyy better than a travel credit that has to be used withing 1 year of booking date.

Fello Mustachians:

Help me reach my goal of reaching in bonus points. Rather than spending money on holidays, I want to take the rewards to invest it for future FIRE.

When you sign up for the Capital One Venture Card - you get a sign-up bonus and I get a small bonus too. You get about $600 in travel when you spend 3K (Tip: When I received the card, I used it to buy things I truly needed, like gas cards, grocery cards, costco, etc. This not only let me plan for the year, but I was able to get about 600 for travel/gift cards).

Sallie Mae has a CC where you spend $1k in 3 months and get $200 cash back. I can vouch for the card, works out pretty well and easy to earn bonus. They have a referral program; if you are approved through the link below we both get a $50 statement credit. Additional referral details:

Quote
Referral Credits will be posted to your account as a statement credit within 5 business days after each referred individual is approved for a card through your referral link. Each eligible friend will receive a $50 statement credit within 5 business days of their first purchase or cash advance, which must be made within 180 days of opening the account. You are limited to a maximum of 10 successful referrals in any 12-month period. To be eligible, your account must be open and current when you refer friends, qualify for a Referral Credit, and when the Referral Credit would post to your account. Your participation in the Program is subject to the Refer-A-Friend Program Terms and Conditions. Cosigners and authorized users are not eligible to refer friends.

I wanted to post my referral link for Avail Car Sharing:

https://share.availcar.me/x/MRjiZD

You'll save $50 on your first rental (in addition to there always being a $25 off promotion code... my first rental was practically FREE!) and I'll get a $50 credit! I used them twice and had a great experience both times. No hidden fees, also insurance is included since it's owned by Allstate.

Here's my ref link for US Mobile: https://usmobile.com/referrals?data=Y29kZT1DT05aR1RVJm5hbWU9REVOSVNF (it's 50% off up to $10 in savings on your first plan; I would get the same off one of my month's bill). The other is DEEK3G43C for Flashfood. Many of our local grocery stores participate and I can often find organic, free-range meats at 50% off. You do want to make sure you think the product will be safe for consumption as they are all products nearing their best-by date. I have heard the produce can be iffy and have not tried any from apps selection. First purchase for you (if over  $10) is $5 dollars in rewards for you and me :)

Here's my referral link for Trusted Housesitters (25% off; 30% off between US Thanksgiving and the end of the year).

https://www.trustedhousesitters.com/refer/RAF752982/?utm_source=copy-link&utm_medium=refer-a-friend&utm_campaign=refer-a-friend

FYI it's a great time for sitters to join. There are currently way more sits than sitters in a lot of areas, but homeowners in the UK and most of the US (outside of the super popular areas) especially are struggling. If you want to visit the UK this summer and are willing to take care of pets in exchange for free accommodation, now is the time.

Way back when I joined it was quite difficult to get your first sit and you had to do things like 2-3 day local sits just to get some reviews, but that's not the case now. Recent joiners are enjoying a much easier time (unless their profiles and applications are terrible, of course; you still have to make some effort!).

Here is my Evidation referral code.  If you’re into tracking body metrics and science, it’s pretty cool and easy enough to accrue points.

https://tinyurl.com/2pxpa6mm

Our research has shown that working out with friends can make you more active. Refer your friends, and for each friend who signs up, you’ll both earn bonus points! We’ll automatically credit you and your friend with 100 points once a new friend creates an account using your referral code and connects an app or completes an offer on Evidation. You can earn friend referral bonus points for up to 20 of the friends you refer. After you have referred 20 friends who activate their account, you will no longer earn bonus points for referrals.
