What happened to the see updated threads or posts option on the home page???

Ok admins,

For some reason I no longer see the link to the recently updated or unread posts (or something like that) on the home page, was it removed???  That was how I always kept up to date on the updated posts, please fix it or bring it back, it was very useful.  I don't even know where to start now.  LOL
