I am unable to edit posts. This has been going on for a couple of days. I cleared my cahce, tried again on two f my posts, no luck.
When I try you edit I get the first screen. When I hit Submit, I get the second screen.
-
Ths is te secnd screen, the screen that cmes up after I hit Submit
-
This has been happening to me too.
-
Mod Note: Sent in a request to have it looked at. Thanks for the heads up!
-
I'm guessing, based on the timing and error message in the first screenshot that the new https change broke it.
Always consequences to changes... :)
We're looking into it.
-
Looking into the issue now!
-
Hopefully should be good to go now! The forced https redirection was preventing the posting function from working. I have removed the redirection.
You may have to clear your browser caches, as redirects are cached locally in your browser.
FYI, default links are still https, you just will no longer be forced over if you type in http

One other small issue is the MMM banner at the top. (http://www.mrmoneymustache.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/mmm+joel_logo.jpg)
Since it's http, Firefox gives the "Connection is not secure" warning with a grey lock/yellow warning sign instead of green lock. When I hide that one image and refresh, I get the green lock.
Done!

The forum home page now shows as fully secure for me (I'm running Chrome on Debian). All of the sub forums show as fully secure. The reply page / window shows as fully secure. However, forum threads still show the "Mixed Content" security warning.
I will try editing this post.
EDIT: edit is working fine for me.
-
FWIW: Since the https change I have been getting the pop-up. But... it never stopped me from being able to edit. The edits always worked if I ignored the pop up.
Platform: Firefox/Linux

Sigh. Thanks cwadda. Will check into it. :)
Sorry for the hassle.

I have been successful at editing twice. Seems ok to me now.
-
March 31st, the problem persists. I've also noticed other users mentioning it in some topics recently.
Thanks for your help.

Today, unable to edit at real separate times of the day.
But server access seemed wonky today, too, maybe related.
-

I have been nudged ;-D. I am digging more into the issue now. At least right now, it seems to be an issue isolated to iOS and MacOS safari use, as using chrome on my MacBook I don't receive this error. Anyone still having this issue, can you please let me know your os/browser you are using on the forum?

Can confirm. I am currently using an Asus laptop and Chrome browser. However when I switch to Safari on my iPhone or Mac the problem persists. Thanks for your efforts.
Edit: now I can't post a new message on this thread. But I can edit xD

I use IOS 10.2.1 and Safari is my browser when I can't edit.
For a period this evening I was not even able to Reply to threads or post new topics from my IPAD.
I am making this post from my PC using Firefox.

Two days ago I was going to come here and say "you guys are brilliant, you fixed it." I had just edited a post.
but then, when I tried to post on this thread, I couldn't. Couldnt start a new thread either with a new post.
This morning editing worked fine from my IPAD.
I am posting this message from my PC.
