Okay, this must be a no brainer but I can't figure it out.

I sometimes want to quote a sentence from a long post and even when I highlight what I want it copies the whole post. What is the secret to just copying a sentence or paragraph and not the whole post? Thanks!

Manual editing. You either quote the whole thing and take the delete/backspace to everything you want gone, or you quote, delete everything and then copy/paste the one bit you want to quote.
