Post number within a a topic
« on: December 24, 2018, 05:54:58 AM »
In a recent exchange of posts, some posters referred to 'post#42' or so within post. Is it possible to turn on a post counter? In a topic with many replies, it would be nice to able to skim through to get to a particular post number, within that topic.

Any ideas?

This may not be what you're thinking of, but each reply is numbered. Mine will be "reply #1". I believe this is the number to which people refer. So you can scroll and skim the numbers, but not go directly to that reply/post unless it is linked.

It's easy - as katscratch said, each reply is numbered. So you just Ctrl + F "#42" and it'll take you straight there.

Thank you shelivesthedream for the tip. After some experimentation I found that F does not have to be upper case, and it is not necessary to push all 4 keys at once. Some other codes do require you to push two or three keys at once.
