Medishare/Samaritan Ministries Health Insurance?
« on: August 31, 2018, 08:30:32 PM »
We will need to purchase our own health insurance for our family of four starting next year. Wondering what kind of experiences people here have had with Medishare / Christian Healthcare Ministries / Samaritan Ministries? Any other suggestions?

I too am wondering, especially regarding the delay between treatment and reimbursement.

I chose Samaritan but circumstances (employer coverage) only had us with them for 6 months. They seemed the "best" to me in all the research I had done. I didn't have any issue with sending my "share" to whomever I was directed to each month. As rivendale mentions though, you do need to foot the bills (or negotiate extensions) until reimbursement. You also need to be aware of what services may not be reimbursed.
