Maybe it has something to do with id numbers? Your new one is 14806.

If you delete your account does it not go and delete every post you made as well?

I noticed your avatar changed, but I didn't see the post count!

As far as I know, there is no way to "restore" a deleted account or attach those posts to your new one (even with the same name).

Why'd you go and delete your account?!  :)

Aww shucks.  That's nice of you to say.

(Although I do realize it's part of your plan to make my head swell so big it won't fit through the door so I can't escape to make more posts. ;) )

whoosh, I'm glad I saw this thread! I noticed some of your old posts listed you as "guest" and I wondered what was up with that, but hadn't yet sent out the Mounties.

You should have pulled an "arebelspy" and gone dark with no posts for a while.

Then, we could have come up with a million outrageous stories of why you weren't posting, such as being abducted by aliens or something.

Nah, we're not the type of forum to do stuff like that.

If someone has direct database access, they could (in theory) update your old posts to be owned by your new user ID.  That is, of course, asking a lot though.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
