This seems to be new since the migration -- every time I navigate to the forums I get a popup ad and have to X out to continue. It has popped up while I was on the forum once or twice, perhaps when I timed out, but it's consistent when I navigate here from somewhere else.
-
Happens to me, too! Would be nice if this could be turned off.
I also hope you (the admins) know that tapatalk has a habit of stealing everyones email address. As in: everyone registered in the forum, not just those who use it.

Hmm.. this was fixed shortly after the forum migration (Feb 25), but all these reports are post- that.
You may need to clear the browser cache/history though to force it to reload the site info (css and such).

I no longer get the Tapatalk ads, maybe it really was caching.

That was my best guess, but odd that Spartana is still getting it. Thanks for confirming, barbaz.
Can you uninstall and reinstall the browser app, Spartana? Maybe it's not wiping cleanly for some reason.
Anyone else still seeing this behavior?

I just rebooted after reading your post, came back to the forum, and there was the Tapatalk popup.
ETA I always run in incognito mode with cookies blocked, anyway.
-
I just tried it again: When I open the forum in incognito, I also get a Tapatalk popup.
-
Ah, this may be solved.
We fixed the popup issue, but something else broke (you may remember the quote button not working, and a few other things).
In restoring to fix those issues, it undid the tapatalk popup fix. Reimplementing that fix soon. :)

Just a heads up. Still getting the tapatalk thing each time even without logging in. Also occasionally haven't been able to connect to the forum (but can on other sites) using data away from home area. Might be my phone as older 3g.
Yes it does. Grr. Passing it up the chain again. We'll squash it yet!
As far as the not connecting: What carrier? (If AT&T, we recently fixed a thing around that.) And does it give any error message, or does the page just not load.
-
Also didn't get the tapatalk thing so all appears fixed (yay!).
No, it's not yet, you must have just dismissed it and it remembered that. But we will get it fixed! :)

The popup should be dead now. Let me know if there are any issues with it.
-
Just got it again, I'm sorry to say. Twice in a row from two different incognito tabs.
-
Hello... I got it too :(
-
And me.
-
Sorry about this everyone! There was a second theme file I had to edit that I missed, it should be clear now. Let me know if it still happens. If so I may have to restart some web services.

Just got it this evening, but then I haven't restarted either. Thanks for working on it.

Sorry guys, this one is stubborn! I'm going to do some more testing later on it.
Most of my testing devices have integrated content blockers, so I'll be using browsers without them for further testing. Just disabling them seems to still prevent me from seeing the popup, so I want to make sure I see what you see.

I'm still getting it this morning. Not a biggie if you can't fix it as it just takes a second to clear but thanks for trying.
Agreed - it's not the end of the world.

Depends on the person... MMM thinks it's a pretty big turnoff for a new person visiting the forums for the first time. For someone who's already addicted, probably not a big deal. ;)

...Said the pot to the kettle? :-)
It's a good point, though.
