Email notifications will not stop

I want to leave the option open for me to return to being an active member here. I'm not there yet, but the fact that I continue to get notifications is frustrating. I've selected never notify me, yet I continue to get weekly emails (at best). And now it's directly impacting my bottom line (I pay for data). Is there something that can be done to maybe make the setting in the attached screen shot actually work? rebs, pete, anyone?

Also, for my friends who I only interact with via this forum, Hi! Still alive, still sailing, still with MXT, still haven't caught covid, am working a great remote job. I'm thinking about one-upping JS with his sand messages, but we'll see. My effort is very specifically focused these days.

This is the solution I was going to suggest - cribbed from Daley's solution for G-Dog!

I just flag mail as "junk mail" if it keeps getting sent to me when I ask them to stop.   Every so often I might glimpse at junk mail to see if anything important slipped through.. Haven't really every foudn anythign important :)
