I got this on Chrome and IE. I'm still able to post from Edge.

Based on this thread, this can happen if you end up using an IP address that was used in the past by someone on an IP ban. Once that happens the ban is stored in your own cookies even when you switch to other IP addresses/internet connections until you clear them out.

Anecdotally, I had this happen to me once when I checked the forum while waiting for a connection in a Minneapolis airport which seems like the sort of place where there is a high likelihood a bunch of people have probably connected to the forum from the same IP address over the years.

There is a sticky post in this subforum that explains it.

Your account wasn't banned, but you were on a (likely public) IP address that was.
