solo side gig of dance/photo/music business
« on: July 09, 2018, 07:44:45 AM »
Hi Friends!

I am interested in starting a small business to encompass my hobbies/side hustles. These include photography, dance, and making music.

I am just getting into photography and would like to sell prints from my website. (I have not printed photos yet nor do I know the best way to accomplish this)

When I finish my tracks, I'd also like to consider selling my music from the same website (Although I may release on Spotify or itunes or beatport or somewhere else if that makes more sense)

I also am a dancer, and would like to have a legit way to charge for group and private lessons on the side, and to write off expenses when I go to dance events.

Does it seem reasonable to put these all under one umbrella business? Any suggestions for how to get started on the photography aspect of printing and sending off photos which I think is the most readily available to me since I have started my portfolio?

Thanks for your help friends!

You can definitely have all of that under one business, but you should give each one its own website (and then refer them to each other). It will look more professional/less hobbyist than to jam them all together on one site. And if one of them takes off, it will crowd out the other stuff anyway.
