Small camper/trailer dealership showroom management
« on: October 25, 2019, 07:46:18 PM »
Hey all

Wondering what your thoughts are on managing a showroom/dealership location for a niche market product. A previous neighbor of mine called me up and asked if I might be interested in some sort of partnership where I would be a manager for a potential showroom that a camper trailer company is considering opening in my area.  He has purchased a few campers from them and rents them out as a side hustle but has been talking directly with them and thinks there's a good opportunity and market for these things where we live.

I didn't get a ton of info but the premise is that he can't work two jobs due to his Visa status. So he's looking for a partner who can be employed and he would act as managing consulting partner it sounds like. I'm not sure if I could do this even though I work from home but possibly my wife could. He was saying he thinks it would be flexible but I'm really not sure how. I asked for more details so we'll see how things progress.

Anyway, just wanted to know if anyone has any experience in this arena.
