Restaurant Franchisee?
« on: May 04, 2017, 01:38:56 PM »
Has anyone thought about being a restaurant franchisee?  Pro's/Con's?
From what I can tell some of the pro's would be that you are going into it with an already established name, proven track records for success to follow, etc.  Cons would be the upfront licensing fees can get expensive and also some chains take a portion of sales as royalties.  Thank you in advance.

I can't talk about restaurant franchisee realities because the only facts I have come from clients' experiences, etc.

I can say this, however. My observation is restaurant franchises present the same sort of opportunity as tax preparation franchises --something I talked about here:

My general summary:
1. You can definitely make money with a franchise
2. Probably an especially good approach for someone without small business experience
3. Franchisor captures the value of the franchise business model--not the franchisee.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
