Porta potty

I'm renovating my bathroom and my family need a place to poop for at least two weeks. The only solution that comes to mind is a porta potty delivered to the driveway. What should it cost to rent one? Any other tips or suggestions?

For showers, we plan to use the gym which is within walking distance.

As a contractor who uses lots of them, we paid around $125 per month, serviced.
As a one time user, you will likely get charged at least 2-3 times that amount.

Add some sturdy plastic liners and some kitty litter.

My brother renovated a house while living in it and did something similar to APowers suggestion.  The difference was they just put in a gallon or two of water to keep the smell down instead of kitty litter and dumped it out back (it was a woodsy, rocky bit of land with no near neighbors) when it got full-ish or too stinky.  I think he threw dirt on top of what was dumped to keep it from being too nasty.

His suggestion is what our troops use a lot while deployed, although doesn't always have the nice seat.  If it is just a couple weeks it could be good experience for your family and give them a new appreciation (worked for me after a few months of use).

If the family is mostly men, a pee tube also keeps the smell and sanitation under control.  Same as this one we had, but use less expensive pvc tube.

You could look into building/placing a moldering privy on site, if it is allowed and you have a good location.

Plenty of folks have them around here at their hunting camps and the like.

You might even be able to just buy a shed, set it up as a privy and when you are complete set it back up as a storage shed.
