Refrigerator troubleshooting advice
« on: April 27, 2017, 07:57:16 AM »
Hello,

Hoping someone has some advice for me on this, as I haven't worked on appliances much and its a nice 1200$ fridge I'd rather not have to replace.

It's a side by side (freezer on one side fridge on the other), whirlpool fridge (model ed5fhaxsl02).  So far I have replaced the condenser fan under the fridge and cleaned the condenser coils.  It is cooling the freezer side well, but not the fridge very well and is very loud 95% of the time.

Anything really stupid I'm missing?

Thanks for any advice!

The first thing I would check are any vents between the freezer and the refrigerator part. Make sure they aren't blocked or plugged up. Some have a damper assembly that controls how much air is allowed out of the freezer into the refrigerator.
