We just bought a place in the city, property crime is fairly high but also tends towards crimes of opportunity. Our back gate on our wooden privacy fence has a deadbolt on the inside but no way to secure it from the outside once you've left, and that's our main way in and out of the house so we'll use it several times a day.
I'd like to get an easy to use lock on the outside of the gate - either keyed or combination or smart lock, I don't really care - biggest factors are ease of use and adding an extra barrier to possible crime. We'd also need to be able to open the gate from both sides and I really don't want to have to use a key to get OUT of the yard like in the dual-sided keyed systems.
This must exist, but I'm having a hard time finding something that would work for us. Any recommendations?
