I was looking for a stool idea for my 2 toddlers who are a little too big (and adventurous) to sit on the kitchen counters any longer. I came across this Ikea Bekvam Hack that would be perfect for my 2 tots:

I did find it on Amazon for $43/each and I seriously almost hit the "1-click" buy, then I realized I need 2 (because sharing...ugh)
So I started thinking "I could build that". I'm not sure how I am going to build it.
From Ikea I know the dimensions are:
Depth: 15 3/8 ", Height: 19 5/8 ", Width: 16 7/8 "
It's 9.5" to the first step and 19.5" to the top of the stool.
What I don't know how to measure is the size of the top step and the first step. I'm sure this is a common sense thing for someone not me.
I'm looking for help on how to sketch it out and advice on how to build it. I feel like I am close but not quite there. Help Please?
