DIY Mini split sizing/install
« on: April 12, 2019, 04:48:41 PM »
I am looking into a Mini split system to more efficiently heat and cool my home. The house has 8 baseboard heaters for a total of 10,000 watts of heating. We only run 3-4 of those to heat (upstairs) and leave the others off. In the future we will need to heat both. The house is a 1970s split foyer. 1300 sq ft. Would it be possible to get by on a Mini split with two head units to do the whole house? I'm more worried about heating then cooling. I've been looking into units with a higher HSPF instead of SEER.

Thanks for any input.
(Natural gas is not an option) :)

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
