Title: Fixed a Dehumidifier with Condenser that wasn't running
Post by: jpdcpajd on August 15, 2013, 08:25:32 PM
I had a few yr old Dehumidifier that fan ran but the condenser would not kick on. So two days ago I pulled it apart and found a capacitor (which I found out what it was after googling the item # on the part) was all burnt up and a wire was detached.  Ebay 12.75$ two days later put part in and it works.  I was about to toss it in the trash figured what the heck.  If only i hadn't bought it new few years ago and went to craigslist.
Oh well no need to buy one now

Congratulations!   I fixed the motherboard on my Softtub® hot tub the same way... took it apart, found something burnt, replaced it with a 12¢ Radio Shack part and saved $400.

Gotta love stuff that can be fixed, if only we try.
