Title: Fellow attorneys: Why are these lawyers not disbarred?
Post by: cooking on May 21, 2019, 12:36:43 AM
Every day it seems we're hearing of the blatantly criminal acts committed by attorneys at the pinnacle of their professions and of the government.  Sometimes evidenced by tape recordings of witness tampering and obstruction of justice.  If you or I dreamed of acting this way in our practice, we would surely be disbarred.  So I keep wondering, why are the state bars to which these attorneys are admitted not acting to disbar them?

Does anyone else not find this conduct shockingly bad and a disgrace to the profession?  We all know who I'm talking about here.

Sorry I accidentally posted this to the wrong topic.  I've reposted (in my technically clumsy fashion) to "Ask a mustachian"

I knew a disbarred attorney. He was disbarred in a state back east for filing frivolous lawsuits and basically abusing the court system. So he moved to NM and sued an organization I was involved with because of a petty personal dispute. I'm not sure if he was ever admitted to the bar in NM but he certainly knew his way around the court system well enough to force this organization to run through their entire budget and then some hiring a lawyer to fight back against the frivolous lawsuit.

From my 44 year experience of life in Canada as both working class and middle class, and with my family being now massive fraud criminals with $20 million, pretty much like Trump’s cabinet.

If you are poor and steal $300 or even just do it by accident in filing your taxes wrong... you get all kinds of problems.  You defraud the government of $1.5 million in taxes, the government will never audit you, even if family reports you.  The banks and everyone is in on the grift.

Canada is less corrupt than the USA but not by much.  My is Trump not in prison?  Why is Trudeau not over SNC Lavelin, Butts?  The National Bank?

I am an odd MMM member.  I do not make an income, so I don’t pay taxes. I need to figure out a way to make money, not cheat on taxes and not pay much.  Because the government is 100% corrupt.  Everything is a scam for the wealthy.

Google can sell a Home system with a hidden mic, VW can cheat on emission standards in every country.  Twitter and Facebook can outright help genocides or be a party to treason.

These lawyers are not disbarred because the world is unfair.  We all thought that in North America things were kind of legit and rule of law existed.  It does not exist for people with millions of dollars.  They have no laws.

It is off topic but taxes themselves are hurtful.  Because then the community does not help those less well off, they expect others to.  And helping others is what makes you happy.  Truly welfare or paying someone to clean up stuff, hurts the souls of everyone.

Taxes feel crappy.  Getting together as a community to build a park over 2 weekends feels amazing.  And then no one in the community would vandalize the park, or they would be shunned.

You help a widow because it is the right thing to do.  But if you do it with taxes, you feel none of the emotional and spiritual benefits of Helping your neighbours.  It is part of how a third of people started hating the poor so much.  And in reality the super wealthy are the welfare queens, not single mothers.

The answer to you question is likely... these kinds of lawyers never got disbarred.  The media and society made it seem like the world was legit 1950’s to 2015... then the charade was over.  And the way things really work was revealed and North America is like Romania or China or Sicilly.

Whoa, I'm in Scandinavia and we love taxes - because we see how an efficient, accountable government can work to improve everyone's lives (we got fre healthcare, education, government pensions etc). There will be fewer excessively rich people, but every bit of research indicates that, on average, most people will be better off this way.

The US and what looks like an implosion of democracy...it is unbelievable seen from some distance. The Republican party denying basic constitutional processes and rules, with lawyers acting against the law - that's the kind of thing that would worry us in Poland or Kyrgyzstan. In the US, which used to be a beacon of democracy, if not accountability, it is just insane.
