End Grain Wood Flooring
« on: January 16, 2014, 10:48:25 PM »
I've always thought end grain flooring was cool. It's super durable, it looks great and it can be cheap if you are careful about sourcing your material. Does anyone have any experience actually installing an end grain floor? I'd be curious to hear about it.

No experience installing, but I noticed that the Milwaukee Art Museum has extensive end-grain wood flooring, and it must be durable because of all the foot traffic there. Looks cool, too.

I've seen it in several high traffic locations (restaurants, museums, etc.) It seems like it would be pretty cheap too. You could basically use scrap wood. I'd love to put it in a house.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
