DIY Washer Fix
« on: January 07, 2019, 02:05:22 PM »
Recently I had the pleasant experience of loading up my washer with clothes, pouring in detergent, having it fill all the way then shutting off and refusing to run. After the fun experience of taking my clothes out and syphoning the water out I was able to do some quick research and figure out it was probably an issue with the LID SWITCH. The Lid switch is a built-in kill switch that will not let your washer cycle if it is not engaged. It was worth the $10 part on amazon to see if that would work. After about 40 minutes of work and a new switch this old washer is working just fine again. I couldn't imagine what a repair man would charge.
