As a community of people who are generally avid DIY-ers both for learning / personal growth and financial reasons, I'm a bit surprised that there isn't (or I have not yet found) a skill-share/swap thread. If there is one, please link me!
I live in northern NJ and need some minor roof repair (slipping shingles) and may need wallpaper installed soon, neither of which are skills I currently possess. I do have a garage / lift and a reasonable skillset for automotive repair, so it'd be really convenient to find someone who'd show me how to fix my roof in exchange for learning how to do brakes on their car (or whatever other task).
What do you all think? Does this already exist somewhere?
