Hey mustachios!
We moved into a new home last year and it has a small basketball court on the side of the property. I enjoy a good game of basketball, and would like to improve the court as it's currently a bit small and the hoop has seen better days (wintery image attached).
It is currently asphalt, and although a little warn, the condition is fine for playing on. However, I'd like to extend the court by probably about two feet in every direction and also put in a new hoop. I'm curious how other people would approach this project. I'm not really comfortable installing asphalt myself, would you hire a driveway asphalt company to just lay two feet on asphalt around the existing court, or have them completely rip it up and start over? Or would you replace it with something like concrete? I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to this stuff so would appreciate any advice or wisdom you can throw at me!
