Build your own ebike - piece by piece video instructions!
« on: September 17, 2018, 09:51:48 PM »
Hey guys!  Long time member of the forum although I read more than I post.  As part of my "side gig" I decided to create an online course about building your own ebike.  Initially I was going to sell the course, but after some thought I just didn't feel good about keeping it hidden.  So I'm giving the course videos away for free on Youtube.  :)

Episodes are all recorded and being uploaded as they're edited, 1 through 3 are already online.  Enjoy!

I'm at work, so i haven't seen the video yet, but what is the lowest entry point in $$ that you can do this?

Building it piece by piece is more of a fun DIY project.  If you want cheap, then I would look for a used ebike.  You can pick up a Sondors on Craigslist for $500 If you keep your eyes open.  Next best option for all new parts would be a new bike from bikesdirect with a conversion kit.  On sale at bikesdirect say $300, then another ~$500 on up for a battery and motor kit from China.  Under $1,000 possible if you look hard enough for deals.
