1 1/4" Antirattle Hitch for bikes or cargo carrier

I was in the electrical department in Lowes and found this gem. It was called beam clamp or super strut PN# U-501/2 or Lowes PN# 45684. It works perfect as a antirattle device for a 1 1/4" hitch...only cost $3.97!
I had almost 2 1/2" deflection and now it's almost none.

That's a great find - I'' try it out on my hitch-mounted bike rack.
Non-Mustachians can pick up the "Stowaway Hitch Tightener" from Amazon for $22. It looks identical, except for the color.

Glad it helped at least one person. I thought it was a good find. It looks beefier too!

Wow - thanks. I've always hated the rattle coming from our 2 bike hitch mounted carrier, always wondering if it was the hitch or something else more important making the sounds.
Cheers!
