Smartphone OBD-II app for hypermiling
« on: December 22, 2012, 09:24:59 AM »
Has anyone tried out a smartphone OBD-II solution for mileage tracking? A quick search turned up the $5 Torque Pro app, which can use an $11 Bluetooth OBD-II connector to link the car computer with the app.

After looking this up, I see that "Gordo" mentioned it at the very bottom of the hypermiling post.

My dad uses that app and a similar bluetooth OBD reader. I don't know what the app does for mileage tracking- he mostly uses it for getting instantaneous torque and acceleromoter readings, and things of that sort.
