MMM Receives Legal Threats
« on: July 09, 2014, 08:05:28 AM »
I just spent some time looking around (I know there were threads in Investor Alley, but they've been buried pretty far) and couldn't find any new updates on MMM's legal battle.  Does anyone have any new updates on his situation?  I'm curious to see how this is playing out.

NOTE:  I'm not starting this thread to re-agitate the discussion on what he should/shouldn't do, or what we all think of it, I'm just curious if anyone out here in forum-space has any new information on the proceedings.

Both companies (Everest Wealth Management and KISS Trust) have backed down.  MMM is very confident in his newly formed set of contacts/legal team to handle future threats.  Nothing to worry about now, or in the forseeable future.
I am a former teacher who accumulated a bunch of real estate, retired at 29, spent some time traveling the world full time and am now settled with three kids.
If you want to know more about me, this Business Insider profile tells the story pretty well.
I (rarely) blog at AdventuringAlong.com. Check out the Now page to see what I'm up to currently.

I hope MMM has an LLC and a large umbrella policy.

Though be aware most umbrella policies will not cover any business you have.  You need business liability policies for that.
