Yo, my first post here... came across the blog a couple of weeks ago and has now read through the whole list of postings. As blogs goes, its freaking brilliant. However, I kind of discovered that I was kind of a Mustachian to begin with. Key detalis:
Age: Early 40s
Income: High. To local standards very high.
Inflated lifestyle: Generally No. A few fancy restaurant visits with SO through the year and I do own a Tesla Model S (which in Norway actually make some weird sort of economic sense due to absence of otherwise very high taxes on cars and petrol and cheap electricity). Not going as far as call it rational choice of vehicle but lot more rational than pretty much everywhere else. Bought cash of course. Some sins and unneccessary expenses, but nothing serious relative to income and obv nothing on credit.
SO high maitanance: No. Quite the contrary, actually. 2 kids.
Expensens: Low. I do my own cooking, shop around for deals, enjoy free nature, bike/hike/run to and from work on a daily basis (mode of transport depending on season mostly). Brew my own beer, mostly fix my own house etc.
Car clowning: Low. SO uses public transport, I do muscle over motor.
Saving rate: High. Prob around 50-60%.
Plan for ER. When kids a bit older.
Plan for FI: Guess I already am, kind of.
Problem: Get SO aboard for ER.
