I vote myself in charge of making sure we run out of wood at the firepit....

Again.

Would it even be camp if you didn't? Last year we were out of firewood seconds after you arrived.

Yes. I wasn't there for the first couple. Stupid trees got to live a bit longer.

I feel like I should be on Sesame Street.

SEVEN! - Ah-Hah-HAAA! Seven little bunks remaining...

I can't type the accent well. Anyone else wanna give it a shot?

EDIT to add: it looks like the PayPal is up and working again too. They just needed to confirm that I am selling a Nigerian inheritance. (However; if you wanna buy a Nigerian inheritance, I can totally set you up.)

Best Regards,
Prince Ali of Mundar aloo.

I’d be flying into Pearson (from Alberta)… how would I get there from the airport? Is there a bus/shuttle I could take, or would I need to rent a car or take a taxi?

Lots of people will fly in - there will be a carpool thread to help arrange rides.

Hey there - there are a few ways, and some are more "exciting" than others. Here's the list with my "excitement" ratings. For the recoprd in this document "exciting" and suckdom are separated by small degrees.

Option 1 - Public transit - Highly Mustachian, but also highly "exciting" - 2 trains, a couple busses and a short shuttle to camp. Bingo boingo, done.
Option 2 - Airport transport service - not at all Mustachian, not at all "exciting" - Pay $150 or more each way for an airport "black car" shuttle.
Option 3 - Carpool with friends - very Mustachian, with a low level of "exciting" - Get on the FIREscape special forum and hunt down other folks arriving at a similar time, share a rental car.
Option 4 - Carpool with other friends - very Mustachian with a low level of "exciting" - Get on the FIREscape special forum and find a local with space in their car.
Option 5 - Arrive early - very Mustachian and a good kind of "exciting" - many folks opt to arrive a day early if the flights are cheaper. Then they share a hotel for the night, go for dinner, have fun in the city, and drive to camp together. Or sleepover at a local's place.

Basically, transportation between camp and Pearson is not provided, but we've never seen someone stranded who asked for a ride.

I’ve heard there is a ladle. Or maybe a cowbell. Ladle on cowbell?

Whatever the arrangement, I shall be in charge of that. For Your Situational Awareness, Carl.

I am unclear on the ladle situation. Are you running a soup kitchen at camp?

The cowbell was not previously appreciated. Someone took it away from me (I'll never tell it was you @MonkeyJenga)

I was at the Seattle CM this weekend, and whoo the relief  I felt when I stumbled into the main areas in the morning and nobody RANG A GODDAMN COWBELL IN MY FACE.

You and I Elaine, but we stand alone against an ugly world of intolerance and anger at 08h00.

So everyone is past due for an update...

We are chugging away in the background quietly pulling together the Camp Mustache Toronto details over here and hoping everyone else is lying out on the Lido Deck sipping Mai-Tai's and Rum Punch while admiring the deck boys.

We've got the shell of a camp agenda put together. I *think* we have a keynote speaker. And with our camp being extended to include a bonus day, we have developed some fun programming and social stuff for the extra day. And free time. There's a lot more free time in the schedule this year (every year folks ask for one more day, and more free time.

We have sent out a preliminary survey for folks who volunteered as presenters and speakers and breakout leaders, but as is always the case, we need more folks to do those things.

The food, bunkmate, and "who are you" survey is in the late stages of development, and it will go out very soon - we are just coordinating with our shirt person for hoodies and T-shirts, and once that is done, the surveys should hit inboxes. After we get replies we will start assigning cabins and ordering food and all that good stuff.

And we have an idea for a theme. Its a good one. But I haven't discussed it with everyone on our committee, so I can't tell you just yet.

As for tickets, believe it or not, a few more have come available. I know it's getting late to jump onboard, but if you missed out and now are thinking about joining us for camp, we may have a space for you. No guarantees though. Mrs. Prosp is managing the ticket list and she knows more than I do there.

Sorry, couldn't stop myself.

Wish we could go, but other commitments, blah x 3. Looking forward to hearing all about it at the Magical Moab Meetup,  which, happily, has virtually unlimited space available, lol. Of course, we have no formal structure either, beyond lots of fun activities and campfires every night. And S'mores. We definitely have that in common.
