How is it going to work for Canadians? Same ticket site?

Seriously, if you have a form to fill out I can do that and just mail a cheque.  Or drop it off on the way to TO for Christmas.

I'm a female, balanced introvert/extrovert, deep sleeper that doesn't hear snorers, may be a snorer myself  (don't believe what people tell me), and can make it to a top bunk.

But I'm not sure yet if I am going...

No scentsy candles for me.  If the leaves are turning we can have little bouquets of red and orange maple leaves.  Are the rooms large enough we can bring a camp chair for quiet introvert retreat time?

Hmm, thinking about quiet introvert retreat time - I am bringing my spinning wheel and spindle.  When stressed, spin.  Get into the zen moment.  Of course spinning when not stressed is also good.  Also bringing knitting.  And maybe my demo spindle and fibre?

Yesssss!  Craft cabin ftw.  I'd love a spinning demo.

I'll gladly room with Retired@63and Tardi - if they'll have me!

And G-Dog makes 3!

Maybe we can get MJ to commit!

I may snore, I will be covered in dog hair (from my two dogs) - it may be just like having Missy with you!

There is our decor theme - dog pictures.  Cat pictures are welcome too.  And then we can bore MJ talking about our pets.  ;-)

You don't know me very well if you think I can be bored by pet conversations, as long as there are photos involved. And there are always photos involved.

I will probably pre-order, even though I have no idea if I'll actually be available to go. I'd like to and create an east coast trip out of it, but I realize that a lot of things can get in the way of aspirations. I'm sure there is a corresponding person who will want to go closer to last minute and not have booked in advance.

I am ok sharing rooms with people of any gender, and I can probably out-puppy picture anyone! :)

Location is Canada, welcome is everyone.  I think Prospector said the same thing to Americans wondering if it was Canadian only.

Most Aussies I met while we were in Australia never make it east of the Rockies when they visit here - you would be a lot further east than that!  At least we are metric, you will be used to the distances in km.

Well if I just started selling right this minute, 27 people would scream out that they weren't online for the start and they missed it etc. So you have to wait until the good people of California/Oregon are done work tomorrow.

Feel lucky I didn't wait for the Aussies too!

I'm building/stealing/customizing spreadsheets now. What fun.

Since I have your attention though - Would folks flying in want an extra night to catch flights out on Monday rather than Sunday? There would be nothing organised, and no meals. Just a one night extension on your stay. If this is desirable, I can look into it.

Be cool if there was a way to do just breakfast (or maybe breakfast and lunch) Monday.

CM1 was Fri-Sun, then for 2&3 they switched to Fri-Mon (Mon only having breakfast/lunch, then ending around 1), so everyone traveling had the whole second half of Monday to leave (a few left Monday morning, as needed).. having the whole extra day meant people weren't leaving throughout Sunday, extending the weekend nearly 50% (from starting Fri evening and ending Sun afternoon = half day Fri, all day Sat, half day Sun, with people leaving throughout Sun = 2 days, only 1 full one.. extending through Mon makes Sun a full day, so you have 3 days, with 2 of them being full).

Is something that an option for this place?

One advantage though was that it's on Memorial Day, so almost no one had work on Monday--could take Friday off to travel, travel back Mon, and only miss one day.  With no holiday, you'd probably have to take off both Friday and Monday.

Either way, the weekend should be kick ass, I'm excited.. only downside is that it's 11 months out!  :P

Now to work out what the time will actually be here. Toronto is 23:17 yesterday, and it is currently 15:17 here, so 19:00 today (Toronto time) is 11:00am tomorrow (22nd November) - Hopefully. At least it's not the middle of the night!

How come you're up at midnight? In cold weather too (your comment about warm beds was not appreciated, as it's 32 here today, and a cool bed will be welcome - then I remembered that Canada is cold).

I read the post saying presale info to follow, got all excited. Read the thread and who is interested in coming out, got ridiculously excited. Realized I live in western Canada and get to pay through the nose to get to the centre of the universe. Bummer. Posting to follow, but really excited you are putting this together. Once more for good luck, excited.

Regina - YYZ is $400 on Air Canada right now. I see two options - either budget $40 a month for the next year into your budget, or start racking up airmiles. The sign up bonus on some cards would get you to the event for $150.

You create a sticky wicket here R@63... if I start preselling the presale all of law and order is at risk. This would be a dangerous thing to do.

Need to think about this more. Or not. It seems some of us are overthinking already.

Maybe I should require a photo ID to accompany each order.

Nah.  Anonymity is good.

I'm registering under the name "Spy, A."

You are overthinking this, yes.  :)
I am a former teacher who accumulated a bunch of real estate, retired at 29, spent some time traveling the world full time and am now settled with three kids.
If you want to know more about me, this Business Insider profile tells the story pretty well.
I (rarely) blog at AdventuringAlong.com. Check out the Now page to see what I'm up to currently.
