ABC (Australia) Money advice
« on: June 20, 2019, 01:35:49 PM »
Today the ABC got a team of experts to suggest where a young person should put their extra cash. The article is here

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-06-21/how-do-i-invest-my-money-house-car-or-stockmarket/11061648

I wasn’t impressed, but maybe you will find it better than I did.

Seems like pretty sound advice for the average guy/gal.

Nowhere close to ERE or MMM in terms of goals or strategies, but this is for the broadest average of the population. I think you have to be just a little special to retire early.

Unfortunately, even basic advice like this is too little too late from the mainstream media.

Even if it gets an additional 10% of the population interested in good habits then I'll count it as a success.

You're not going to be able to "convert" everyone. But one more person or couple with good finances is one less person or couple (or family) destined for poverty later in life.
