Most things on my bucket list are pretty similar to a lot of people:
* May 2016: quit my job. I have been rehearsing my famous last words ("Fuck you fuckers") but I might decide to leave bridges intact just in case consulting opportunities arise.
* Summer 2016: Move to our acreage in BC, start building our little 400-500 square-foot cabin, and a tiny house for friends/family (or maybe house them in the RV if I am too lazy to do anything). Cabin plans to come soon.
* Fall 2016-Spring 2017: Road trip starting in BC, then south through the USA, Mexico, Central America and back north to the Maritimes, then cross-Canada to BC. On the program, wwoofing, house-sitting, camping, staying with friends and family.
* Spring 2017-Fall 2017: we're staying put on our acreage. On the program, gardening (learning), sailing, kayaking, hiking, biking. Maybe some part-time work (or consulting if I didn't burn any bridge)
* Fall 2017-Spring 2018: slow frugal travel to SE Asia for 3 months, and teach ESL in Taiwan for 3 months. Or teach SCUBA in Thailand. Or do nothing.
Wash. Rinse. Repeat. You get the idea. Six months at home, six months abroad. Countries on our lists are Japan (mainly Okinawa, where my wife is from), Thailand, Taiwan, China. Everywhere in Europe. As long as our health and our finances allow it.
There are a few other things on my bucket list but unlike the above, they don't involve my DH, so they have not been cleared yet, plus there are only a limited number of years left to do everything, and spending as much time as possible with my wife is my number one priority so I might never have the chance to do these:
* A one-year solo trip through the US and Canada without money.
* A trans-Pacific sailing with my daughter.
* The Trans-Siberian from Vladivostok to Moscow with my childhood friend.
* And, finally, several months alone exploring the country where I was born. I left when I was a child at the end of a long and bloody civil war, so I need to do this one alone to close the loop.
