Window brands
« on: May 13, 2020, 10:54:44 AM »
Hello group, We are working on a new home project and an early item coming up to bid is the windows and doors. We are looking for the project to be fairly nice finishes-wise, and are considering Marvin Ultimate and Loewen on the high end, Sierra Pacific and JELD-WEN on the low end. The main requirement is for the interiors to be douglas fir to match other windows in the house. The company that bought Milgard is dropping their wood-clad fiberglass line which I would otherwise opt for. Anyone have experience with these copmanies? I'm finding Loewen particularly hard to get owner reactions from, and I don't trust anything the dealers say. They're all snakes.

Check out the Houzz website for Loewen reviews.  Seems like lots of people have had problems over many years, so maybe not the best choice.  Even before they went high end, their products were considered just average here in their factory’s home town.
